About the artist
A classically trained artist, Teri studied at the University of St. Mary, in Leavenworth, Kansas. A Masters degree was earned through Central Missouri State University. Her work broke away from a more realistic style of the 70's and 80's and veered toward a contemporary, abstract artwork style that relects deep psychological meanings.
The work in watercolor and mix media demonstrate a multi-faceted expression of self.
"I paint what I feel and see inside," states Willett. " The painting has to talk to me and bounce around for awhile before it comes out. My work is more an emotional picture of me."
Teri has exhibited in over 35 venues. She has also presented over 25 workshops. She was also selected for the Missouri Secondary Art teacher of the year in 2007.
Teri Kay Willett currently holds status in the Missouri Watercolor Society. She is also represented by Images Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri.
